Have you ever wondered if you can get pregnant during your period?
Technically the answer is, “No, you can’t get pregnant during your period.”
However, the exception to the rule here has to do with the lifespan of sperm. Sperm can actually live up to 5 days after being released during sex. So, if you have sex at the end of your period and you have a history of ovulating early in your cycle, the sperm could hang out and fertilize an egg a few days after your period ends!!
The other thing to look for though is what is called, ovulatory spotting. Some women experience light spotting during ovulation. This spotting is sometimes confused with menstruation. So, women may think they were having sex during their period, when in actuality it was during ovulation!
There are always twists and turns in the world of fertility, aren’t there?
