 Hi fellow TTC ladies!
I'm Mel from New Zealand, currently living in North Carolina for one year through my husband's work. My husband and I are both 31yrs and got married in January 2010. As we want 2-3 children we feel it's a good time to get started now. I've never been pregnant before and this is our 2nd month trying. I went off the pill in November 2009 after being on it for about 10yrs.  My cycle started out at about 28days and now has lengthened to 30+ days, so working out my ovulation date is the biggest issue at present. Am doing usual ovulation checks but not always so clear. Will be interesting having a baby/maternity in the US if we get lucky while here. Also will be harder having no family support.
Look forward to chatting to you and offering a listening ear/support where possible -what a great idea this forum is!
Baby dust to all!!
Mel

I don't believe that I've introduced myself here yet...ooops.

Hello, my name is Teresa, I'm 29 and will be 30 in December. I married my husband on June 18th of this year but we've been together for 3 years. We're duel military and a set of orders to Alaska for him put a kink in our plans to get married earlier, but we finally made it happen. DH is 38.5 years old and has made it clear he doesn't want to have children past the age of 40 because he doesn't want to be too old to play with them.

We each have a son, his son Chris is 12, my son Nolan is 4. We'd like to have at least one of 'ours'. Personally I hope he's a bit willing to comprimise on the time line for having a baby. I have a sneaking suspicion that it will take me a little longer to concieve this time since my son was born via an emergency cesearian that didn't go quite as planned and I wouldn't doubt there is a lot of scarring. DH is also deployed to Japan until the end of September, so aside from our try in June, it will be a bit before I can give TTC a real go (which so far has been a lot of BFN's because I'm too anxious to see the results or AF). Assuming June doesn't take I will be temping and charting until October so I can get a good look at when the best timing for me will be.

I came to the forums for female support. My mother passed away in January of this year and a majority of my friends seem to be in the 'middle' stages...either just married and aren't looking at kids...not married at all...or in one case...divorced...2 kids...and still a little bitter.

I'm really excited to meet all of you!

Hi Mel, New Zealand is a beautiful country though it was quite cold when I was there. It was July so it was the middle of winter. I am currently living in North Carolina too. I'm from New York but moved here for the nicer weather after college graduation. My DH and I have been married since Sept 09. I am 35 and he is 40. Neither of us have been married before or have kids so we decided not to wait to start trying. We've been TTC for 5 months. We've been through all the testing. my DH had two SA that say he has low sperm count and low motility. The fertility specialists say IVF is our only option but we don't have the needed $15,000-$20,000 to do it. Now I'm just trying to deal with the possibility that I'll never have children. (ok..maybe I'm not dealing with it.) Try prenatal vitamins. My cycle was always very regular at 31 days. As soon as I started a prenatal vitamin it went to 28 days. Maybe it will help get cycles regular.
