I got great news from my results review! The dr. said that my uterus and tubes are perfect...my antral follicle count is a little high but expected due to the pcos but its not a bad thing! He seemed very confident that the injections will work for me considering he said that is my only problem-not ovulating...the goal ovulation!!! His only concern is that I am young and in shape and my ovaries have been sleeping so long that the injections will cause me to release too many eggs-therefore spinning me off into my own tv show! Tongue So I will be closely monitored so that this does not happen and instead of the normal 8-10 days of injections he is starting me off at a lower dose for a longer period of time (maybe 10-14 depending how my body responds) to not over do it! I am so excited to get started...I have to call them in a week to get a blood test done for pg and progesterone as long as its neg. then I start my provera to bring on AF then start injections-so we are looking at around the first or second week of March to start the shots!

Yay Sara! Congrats you have a solid plan now. Do you have to give yourself the injections? Just curious.

Katie- there are definately pros to socialized medicine Smile

Sara - I'm so happy your appt. went great and that you now have a plan!! It must be a relief to know that everything is ok and that hopefully you will get your baby soon (and not a tv show!) lol Smile

We dropped off DH's sperm today. We should hopefully know something by early next week. I am hoping that they call Monday, but not keeping my fingers crossed. Hopefully quantity doesn't matter as much as quality. I looked at the container after he did his part and I was like "that's it!!" He said he doesn't have as much sperm in the morning as he does in the afternoon/evening. Not sure how he knows this, but all I care about is that it was enough and that he has good strong swimmers. Now we just have to wait for AF to show up and then we can schedule my hsg. I don't think I have ever wanted AF to show up as much as I do right now. Although it is kind of nice to not have to worry about am I oing, are we doing it at the right time, do I have enough cm, yadda yadda yadda. We can just bd and have fun.

I am super thrilled...next week cannot get here fast enough to get the blood work to get it all started

Katie -thank you so much for the extra prayers...I have the God Squad praying for me as well as all you wonderful ladies here too!! How did your first cycle on clomid go or is it still going?

Keiki-Yes i do give myself the injections Stare..I am a little nervous about all that but I know I can do it-i keep telling myself if I cannot give my self a tiny shot then how will i ever make it through labor!! Laughing out loud Plus, DH said he would be able to do it if I couldnt (i just think he jumped at the chance to inflict some pain-pay back for all the mood swings while I was on all the hormones!LOL)

Tonya-Gl with the SA (I think it takes about a week for results-my DH's did)-I don't think quantity makes a difference with it but I am not sure?! I think it is the quality per the quantity that you give them that makes a difference--so if he has a ton of swimmers all going in the right direction in the little amount you gave it shouldn't be a problem--but again I am not positive--have fun not stressing and BD like crazy in all kinds of places and positions--it wont last long once you have to get back into the timing of things!

Tonya.........Quantity must not be a problem because my DH didn't produce much either (he was too nervous and self-conscious) and they didn't seem to have a problem with it. They told us everything was fine.

Sara.....First round definitely made me O, which is good, but didn't work to get me pregnant. Sad I'm on my second round now, currently CD 16 and it's looking like I should be Oing soon. I'm really hoping that in combination with the HSG test clearing me out that it will finally take in the next month or two. I know that statistically I can't get my hopes up that it will work right away, but I can't imagine a reason it won't happen in the next couple of months. So far all of my test results have come back good, and I was able to get pregnant once last summer, so it should just be a matter of time now I'm Oing regularly.

I agree, I don't think quantity matters. Tonya, I thought the same thing when we did our SA "is this enough?" Big smile , I didn't want to make DH feel bad so I didn't say anything. The lab we took it to told me it only takes one hour! We got our results the next business day from the MD, so you might not have to wait an entire week. I have my fx for you and DH, I can't tell you what a relief it was for us to know that he has "excellent" swimmers. My Doc actually said excellent. I was totally elated!

Sara, I definately think you can give yourself the shots, no problem. I just wasn't sure if you had to go into the office for them or not. Tons of people learn how to give themselves shots, and you are so right, when you compare that minor pain of a shot to labor Smile

keiki-yeah...they def. teach me how to give me the shots so i can give them to myself in the evenings at home...the only shot I get that I don't give myself is the ovidrel-which is to actually make me release the mature egg...that is given in the office after one of my ultrasounds when they see that there is one or two or possibly three mature follicles ready!!

I am so ready to get started....it can't get here fast enough!!
