I just love it when there's a question mark after a pregnancy thread, because I am the same way. After I got my first BFP, I refused to believe it, and kept saying that I was "definitely maybe" pregnant. Of course, my hubby (who didn't seem very excited when I got the "official" BFP - from a digital test) says he knew right after we BD'd that I was pregnant. (Not to make him sound like a jerk! He's much more laid back than I am, so "excited" for him is a smile and a hug and kiss, all of which I got when I told him.) In fact, I'm still having trouble believing it, so I actually bought MORE pregnancy tests the other day! LOL!

Yah!! I'm close to your due date too. I felt like I kept seeing all these signs too. I never see pregnant ladies at the gym I've been going to for a year and a half and then 2 days I went and worked out before I got my BFP I saw a pregnant lady each day. I was praying it was a good sign and it was. Congrats!

Congratulations Kristina, and Emily! I love the positivity around here. So yes, I also have a BFP, but here's my situation: (wondering if you all could shed some light on this? And don't worry about feelings, tell it to me straight!)

Got my BFP from my FMU on Sat, Oct 3 with a Clearblue Digital and a Regular First Response. Got it again from Sunday’s FMU (regular first response). Took one later Sunday afternoon, with a Clearblue Digital and it was NEG. However, I had drank a lot of water with breakfast and lunch. Didn’t test on Monday. Just had my doctor’s appointment with my GP to confirm my BFP, and it was at 10:45AM (obviously not my FMU, I get up at 6am). I had consumed a small decaf coffee and a med. Orange juice in the morning. He came back in the room after the test and said “there is a faint line, so I need to make sure that your HCG levels are rising at the proper rate, don’t be alarmed, but your levels are low.” Right now I’m only 4 weeks. I rushed to the lab! My doc instructed me to go to get my blood taken today, Thursday and Sunday, and the lab will send the results to my GP.
Should I be somewhat worried about this? I’m trying not to, but it’s hard. DH really doesn’t want me to stress myself out about it. I was really hoping to go into my GP’s office and just get a confirmation of my BFP and walk out confident! But now…I still was told “congratulations” by my GP, but he needs to make sure that my HCG levels are doubling. I’m 3 days past my AF being due…shouldn’t my levels be strong enough to detect without requiring FMU???

Ali- Did the Dr tell you what your levels were? Do the bloodwork and ask what your levels are when they get the numbers back. The levels should close to double each day if I remember correctly. You are probably fine. If you are 4 weeks, the levels will be low but will increase each day. Don't stress yourself out because that is the worse thing you can do. You will be fine. Plus, maybe the GP just doesn't know as much about it as your OB does and he is taking precautions. Let us know how it goes and don't stress! You will be ok!
