Hi ladies! I am new to the whole TTC journey and even newer to the fertility charting game. This is my first month trackng BBTs, plus I used an OPK. I am 11DPO (or 10, depending on the website I check) and my temps are still high. I think I saw a very faint second line on the HPT this morning, so now I'm looking for other "signs" since I probably won't test again until Thursday (if I can just control this urge to POAS)
Anyway, here's my question: how many days before AF rears her ugly head do your temps start to fall? My cycles have been irregular because I am still breastfeeding, so I'm not even sure when she's due. Any thoughts/comments?
my temps start to fall 2 days before.

Hi Jennifer,
My temp usually falls the day before or the day of AF, but I think it can depend a number of other factors, too. I've been fighting a bug, which has kept my temp a little high when it should have dropped. Plus the building I live in just cranked up the central heat, so I've been really overheating at night and not seeing drops in temp on my BBT chart!
Ann
Thanks for the info, ladies! This was my first month charting, so I wasn't really sure what to look for. As it turns out, I didn't see that pre-AF drop in my BBTs because I'm PG!
Best wishes for baby blessings to all!
Same thing happened to me. Started to fall 2 days before.

We did it!!!!
I'm still waiting on mine to drop as I don't have any other signs of pregnancy and I am too scared to take a pregnancy test
CMBM what CD are you on? Whats your normal cycle length? How many dpo are you?

We did it!!!!
I am on cycle day 29, of generally 28-29 day cycles, and I think I am 12 dpo. I say, "I think", because this is my first month charting bbt, and I am not exactly sure I know how to read my chart accurately. We have been ttc #1 for 11 months now, so I am really hoping this is the one!! I posted my temps under a different thread entitled, "help reading my chart" if you are interested. Any advice is very much appreciated and welcomed!
Suggestion from a fellow novice charter:
Try combining OPKs with your BBT charting next cycle (if this one isn't "it"). That helped clear up any confusion I had during my one month of charting.
