This is my first month charting my temp. I know that an elevated temp is a sign of possible pregnancy, but what does a single temp dipping well below the coverline mean?
My temps have been a little erractic...here is a break down of the DPO temps...my coverline is 97.02
1DPO :: 97.6
2DPO :: 97.1
3DPO :: 97.8
4DPO :: 97.4
5DPO :: 96.8
Anyone with some charting experience/knowledge know what this means? I'm guessing it means no BFP this month...

UNLESS its an implantation dip. I like to look at different charts on the fertility friend chart gallery, and some women with implantation dips go to or below their coverline and turn out PG. Soooo don't loose hope yet!! I dipped pretty low at 5DPO too!

Thanks for the input! I took a deep breath about the whole thing last night and am better today. My temp this morning was 96.8 again this morning, so I am guessing that is not an implantation dip.
FF is saying I have '41 points' for a possible early pregnancy - I am not reading too much into that. I really have kind of given up this month. I told myself there is NO reason for me to go through the ups and downs of "am I or am I not pregnant" these next two weeks. I would rather take this time to really get the hang of BBT and do as much research as possible so I am ready to go next cycle! I have also done a lot of soul searching about TTC over the last day or two - what I am willing to put myself and DH through to get pregnant...
But for now, I am keeping up a 'life is good!' attitude and taking this time to get centered and focused on my new life in Florida! Actually, just taking the time to try and stay cool in the heat and humidity
I've got my fingers crossed for you this cycle!!

i have a question about implantation dips. my temps are as follows:
o day: 97.3
1 dpo: couldn't temp
2 dpo: 97.9
3 dpo: 98.3
4 dpo: 98.4
5 dpo: 98.4
6 dpo: 98.4
7 dpo: 98.3
8 dpo: 97.8 (today)
so, assuming that my temp comes back up tomorrow, and this was possibly an implantation dip, when would that mean that implantation occurred? today? yesturday??
i have been having 34 day cycles, and today is cd 29 so i don't think it is af coming (hopefully!!!)

That is a good question...I think the dip happens the day of implantation...but I am just guessing!

That's such a bummer! I'm sorry. But maybe that means you still have time to catch O, so don't give up yet!
After my dip from 98.3 to 97.8 yesterday at 8 DPO, thankfully it came back up to 98.5 this morning (my highest yet!). I am so anxious! I dreamed about getting my BFP all night last night, so when I woke up first thing this morning, I took a FRER HPT, and of course- BFN
but it is still very early at 9 DPO, so I am not letting my hopes down. Hang in there ladies!
