Hey there motleysmom...absolutley! I am 42 and 33 weeks pregnant with my first one. We didn't even start trying until last year and it took me 10 months. I saw a fertility specialist who told me that because of my age I should do IVF right away...that was before my exam! Oh and I don't have an extra $20,000 lying around!
So I found a woman gyno and did all my bloodwork etc, which was fine and decided to do things naturaly!
Here's my readers digest version...I knew that my hormones would need a jump start so I took prenatals, viatex (100mg 2x/day), liquid iron with herbs, viatamin B complex, CQ 10, and evening primrose oil (from day 1 until ovulation). I started accupucture 1x/week, "watched my diet" and tried to get more exercise from walking, yoga and my total gym. I did my OVP tests every month, and did my basil temps every morning.
This was after some extensive research on eastern medicine, and herbs and fertility after 40 etc. I put together my own little program based on what I thought I needed.
After my bloodwork came back fine, I had that die test done to make sure my tubes weren't blocked.
And, as my accupuncturist predicted....4 months of all my changes and I was pregnant!!!

Laughing out loud I am a 46 yr old Mom of a beautiful 3 ½ year old and TTC again. I have been pregnant 3 times, each time naturally and on the first try. Had my son, the love of my life, at age 42 in 2007 naturally. However, had a miscarriage the cycle before he was conceived and another 1 ½ years after he was born, in November 2008, both at 8 weeks. I am actively trying and won't give up, although I'm getting a little anxious as I had no problem getting pregnant before. I actually knew the day it happened for all 3 pregnancies! I have had some testing and everything seems ok and doing everything I can. Tried IUI this past year, but unsuccessfully. Taking Clomid again, and using OPK this time. So, it feels comforting to know I am not alone either!
