Jayne that does make complete sense! I did actually wonder about those directions. I guess the theory is that the surge happens before ovulation, not on ovulation, so after ovulation the egg will survive for 24 hours, which gives the swimmers ample time to get there. And you're totally right about missing the beginning of the surge...if I had waited till 4pm when I typically test today, I"m sure I would have received a positive, but I got a positive this morning at 10am, which tells me I think I probably actually surged somewhere either in the middle of the night or this morning... because yesterday's test was faint...
so in your professional opinion, what is my best shot? Tonight? tomorrow morning? tomorrow night? Saturday morning? hehe!!!
And thank you for sharing!! It really is good to know I'm not the only one who obsesses like this...I know I should be a pro at this by now, but every month I freak out again! Smile

You are all making me feel so normal right now!!!! LOL I DO ALL OF THIS EACH MONTH, Laughing out loud Laughing out loud ....morning, evening, if we BD at 9 PM and the next day is a dark O line at 4 PM, what if it would have been dark at 6 Am and I did not do the O test? also I am 37 and he is 36...are his swimmers as good if we do it every day (guess not cause that didnt work!) so then the next month we try every other day (and nope that doesnt work either!)ahhhh....

Lori-my humble opinion...You had the surge this AM so, I think the egg will pop this eve about 12 hrs from your surge (be that 4 AM last night or 10 Am this morning Smile ) so tonight YES, tomorrow morning YES, tomorrow night YES...get to it Smile

..so now what I'm trying this month is FertilAid, FertilTea, Red Rasberry, EPO, Milk, B6, Robitussin, BD every other day, BITA, Pillow under hips, progesterone pills, progesterone cream.....AND PRAYER....I think that about covers it........ Tongue

I wish I could answer that for you Butterfly.. AFM The plan was to do it everyday around O time but I don't know when that is this month. Usually it is around CD17 but I didn't notice much EWCM this cycle (at least not yet). I did however get the cramping and soreness in the breasts so IDK... We BD on CD 9, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17 & 19 so I am praying we got it if I O'd. We will find out in about 2 weeks!

Heather- LOL on the list!!! that is AWESOME!! You forgot preseed, softcups, and Mucinex (although is that the same as the robitussin? helps with EWCM?). HAHA!! you know you're TTC when... Smile I've used that rationale too (every day? nope...every other day? nope...2x/day? NOPE!... stand on my head? Nope... BITA? nope... holy moly WHATS LEFT to try?!!!). Smile So glad we have each other here... thank you for your opinion on the timing too!! I guess I just needed some reassurance... Smile

Deanna- sounds like you've got your bases covered with the timing!! Smile That's a lot of BDing! For whatever it's worth a very good friend of mine just got her BFP and she thought it was really ironic that it was during a month she couldn't pin point her ovulation (which is not usual for her!).

I'm slightly giddy today for some reason, probably b/c of the +OPK...which is I guess why they call this a darn roller coaster, because in 2 weeks I'll be crying my eyes out at work...again. well, we'll see....

I really hope I covered it but then again I am not sure so we will probably continue to BD everyday for the next week or so just in case! Maybe I've been so tired lately from all this baby dancing! Smile

Just think positive BUtterfly! At least you got your positive OPK so you know your window and you obviously know what to do! Wink

I can definitely say that sometimes you need to test multiple times a day with OPKs because this last cycle I started getting EWCM in the afternoon, but my OPK was - So I took another one around 8pm because I knew for sure I had to be fertile, and sure enough, it was +

Lori.......I would BD tonight! It's definitely more important to get that batter in before O, so tonight is probably your prime time.

Thanks Katie!!!
I do find it really weird that I actually got EWCM yesterday and not today (I rarely have it but took Mucinex for a couple days this week, maybe that helped!)...if I o tonight/tomorrow it seems logical that I should have had it today too... but I did stop taking the mucinex, so who knows.

Hi Ladies,

Once again I am relieved to know I am not the only crazy one, lol!! I totally obsess over the OPK and BD scheduling too Tongue . It is so exhausting. Lori, I think you timed it right! I am at CD 13 still waiting for my +OPK, my CBE monitor days high still. I did have EWCM yesterday, but we couldn't BD then. I held it in this afternoon and when I got home from work the OPK had a LSP (very faint), so I figured we will BD tonight and see what the moniter says in the morning. Ugh...here we all go again. At least we have each other!

Heather, you go girl, you are on a total TTC cocktail Wink I hope the progetserone helps to lengthen your LP!

Deanna, sound slike you have your bases covered, that is quite the BD schedule!

Well, (you guys want the play by play right?! HAHA)... we BDd last night and then this morning we were both really tired (DH is usually all about the mornings but for whatever reason not today), so we didn't this morning. Maybe once more tonight, but I'm pretty sure the window will be closed. We watched 2 hours of travel show about Italy last night and I'm really excited for the wine over there during our vaca, so please remind me of this in 2 weeks when I have my monthly breakdown. Smile

I think you should be ok, after all it only takes once Wink We didn't get to BD last night because I was sooo exhausted. I always get mad at myself when I miss an oppurtunity, I hope I'm not the only one lol. Don't anticipate that monthly breakdown, FX for a BFP!
