Melanie & Holley,
Thanks for your kind words. I definately do need to try and relax, and just wait it out. Enjoy the holidays! It definately is frustrating to have a medical concern at this point, but hopefully they can find it quickly and we can move on. That trip to Hawaii sounds perfect right about now Laughing out loud

I get lost on these websites too. I'm on a computer all day at work, and since it's a slower time for us right now, I have a lot of free time! Yikes!

Hi vbelle Smile I'm new too!

Glad to hear about the preseed! We just bought it a few weeks ago, and i'm dying to try it with the applicator. But i'm going to save it until i'm o-ing again! Good luck Smile:)

Hi Courtney,

I know its hard to relax when you want something so bad. Sometimes I dont really feel like I am stressed but then some one points it out.

Thats why I am trying to keep myself busy. That way I cant look at those sites, cause I was so confused yesterday from them. I have been good today. Just on here and facebook.
Hawaii was great, it was a much needed vacation, we hadnt been on one in three years.
I really wanted to get pregnant there because it would have been a cute story to tell them. Also call the bump our little Kahuna. hehehe Oh well we werent really trying then since I was sick.

So I was wondering what you all are taking or using to get pregnant. I have started drinking Decaf Green Tea. I have been on prenatals since April. We bought preseed and this is the first month we will try that. Using OPKS.

Melanie,
I take a prenatal as well. Over the counter vitamins are not bio-available and are basically a waste of your money. I use "Pure encapulations" Pre Natal. I really like it. I also have started taking Evening Primrose Oil to help increase CM and red raspberry leaf tea or capsules which is great to continue while pregnant and strengthens the uterus. Finally, I take Chaste Tree Berry to help hurry along my hormonal balance. OH! And the bioidentical progesterone cream because my progesterone was low and I was estrogen dominant for a while but am having signs that that is changing. This seems like a long list but I have one more. Carlson's fish oil for DHA and EPA. It's toxicity free. I buy it off of amazon and give it to my little girl too.
Because of food sensitivities and because I am working with a nutritionist as I come out of an estrogen dominant state, I also don't eat gluten, soy, dairy, and as much as possible I stay away from sugar. The sugar battle is sometimes entirely more successful than other times.
I have never drank coffee, but I do love a little chai in the morning. I gave it up for green tea for about 5 or 6 months but it didn't make my life any better and green tea, even really high quality Japanese green tea, acts like a diuretic for me something fierce. SO, I mix my own chai now with almond milk and life is good again. I only drink one small cup and I'm pretty sure it won't kill me. I have been very careful about my diet for a few years now just for health reasons but it turns out to be good for fertility too, so it's a win/win.

Holley,

Is this the first month with primrose oil? Where do you get it, and the rasberry tea leaf capsules>

Melanie,

I've been taking Materna PreNatal for the past 11 months. My friend recommended it because she did the "vineager test" and it passed. Besides that, haven't given it much thought. I have a few other g/fs who use it as well. I purchased the FA for men and women a few weeks ago, and once I have my u/s, or get AF, I plan on starting it, and then will probably discontinue the prenatal, because it's a complete vitamin as well. Besides that, I try to eat healthy Puzzled

Coffee is probably my biggest weakness. I LOVE coffee!! haha. I try to limit myself to a cup a day or less, and then decaff as much as possible. But when I get my BFN, or my AF, I tend to drink a bit more.. possibly out of spite? haha. But usually no more than two. I think once I get this issue figured out, I'll probably cut it out completely. I'm at the point where I would do or try just about anything!!

I think most of all I need to learn to relax during the days of ovulation. After BDing, I tend to lay in bed and be like.. maybe maybe maybe maybe and have a crappy sleep lol. I wish we could stop using the OPKs so that I don't know the exact date, but since I've had such weird cycles lately, I know it's not a good idea. Any ideas?

Melanie,

This is my second cycle on the primrose oil but last cycle doesn't count because I got a stomach virus and couldn't take anything. BUT I think it was helping. You use it only from the first day of your period till the day you ovulate and then stop. I got mine from a local health food store but you could order them online I'm sure.

I got the red raspberry leaf capsules from my nutritionist. The brand is "Nature's Sunshine." You can get the medicinal tea form of it at some of the Walmarts here.

I looked at the Fertile Aid and I don't think it's a good idea. I have also read some of the threads on here with the ladies whose husbands are working with sperm count issues and it seems to do the opposite of help. How does Fertile Aid know that everyone needs the same dose of Chaste Tree Berry? Or, if your issue is not hormonal then why take it? Fertility is a big business and the desperation that women feel to conceive can talk us into a lot of stuff, some of which may not help you. BUT, my nutritionist is also an herbalist so I trust her to tell me the skinny on these products.

Courtney,
Melanie and I have been discussing various methods we use to keep our minds from going into overdrive. You just gotta find something that works for you. Anxiety is not conducive to conception. Heck, I can't even put a fertility ticker on here. I try to keep the idea getting pregnant in an open mind that is positive but not obsessive. It's a fine line Wink

I don't think a single cup of coffee or a little black tea is going to keep either one of us from conceiving Smile

So maybe I should pick some Rasberry tea up.
I am on some really good vitamins. They are by Shakley. I credit them for having me get over valley fever in such a fast time. I heard green tea is very good for you when trying to conceive.

I am a coffee lover too, never drink more then one cup. But I gave up caffeine 3 weeks ago. Crazy I know. But when I was on bedrest in June. I discovered that starbucks makes all their drinks in Decaf. I just tell myself it has caffeine. All my tea are decaf now. It took some getting used too. But one cup a day of caffeine wont hurt you. I also gave up drinking back in June.

I wanted to share with you girls a song that really cheers me up when I get stressed or overwhelmed about TTC. Its Katy Perry Firework. The song just makes me happy.

Right before AF comes I am always anxious and have a hard time sleeping.I have so many thoughts running around in my head, mostly I hope I am pregnant. Now we have each other to talk to about all of that.

Holley - I had the same reservations about the FA, then so many women had such great luck it in, I caved! I plan on bringing it to my next dr's appt before I start taking it, and see if he thinks it would be harmful. I had plans to go to the naturalpath soon, but then this health issue came up. So my plan is to deal with that first, see what the result is, then hopefully start meeting with a naturalpath and other specialists that they recommend, especially if my dr. thinks i'll have trouble conceiving.

After BDing, I think I'm going to force myself to read a good easy chick lit book for at least twenty minutes. That should keep my anxiety down long enough for the sperm to make the perilous journey, and hopefully make me sleepy enough to have a solid sleep. I'll let you know how this works!!

Melanie - You will be my inspiration for giving up coffee! After the holidays that is Smile Also, I love KP Fireworks too! great song

How are everyones holiday plans shaping up? I'm looking forward to a lot of down time Smile You ladies are before or during O right now, right? Maybe the Christmas Spirit is exactly what we need Wink Good luck!
