Hi Ladies!

I just read through all the previous posts, so I have a general idea, but I may mix up some of the details! Sorry if u end up having to repeat yourselves!

My name is Courtney and i'm in my early 20s. My DH and I have been married for almost three years, and together for over 4. We got married young, yes, but loving it. I grew up with older sisters, so I always felt a little older than my friends my age.

We decided to start trying in February, and so I stopped taking b/c that month after being on it for three years. My first six cycles were pretty normal, ranging from 30-35 days. I didn't realize how much timing and luck was involved, so for the first five months we just bd a much as possible, especially around CD14. After a few months, I realized I really wasn't on a 28 day cycle, so I starting using OPKs, and found out i was ovulating on CD21.

I'm young, healthy, and happy. I never would have guessed that I wouldn't be pregnant almost 11 months later. Between my two sisters, they already have 5 kids, so I thought it would be no problem for me.

Last cycle, about CD30, I had a severe pain in my right side. I ignored it for a few hours, then I got so bad I kind of starting panicing. I was pacing the house in the middle of the night, and my DH told me to call my mom (retired nurse:) ) and get her advise. She told me to go to the hospital, get pain medication, and just make sure nothing was seriously wrong.

When I went in, the symptons were showing appendicitus. I was given morphine, told to go home and sleep for a few hours, then came back for an U/S to confirm. I was told not to eat or drink anything, in case I had to go into surgery. However, because of this, when they did the U/S, he couldn't see much! The pain subsided, so my dr. told me i could have a CT scan, or wait it out and see what happened. He said since I was ttc, he didnt' really recommend the CT scan because of all the radiation. I was fine with waiting, and within a day, the pain was completely gone. Exactly 2 weeks later, I got my AF. So I thought maybe it was a cyst bursting during ovulation, which i've read can cause severe pain.

Which brings me to this month. I did OPK, and got a strong positive on CD22. On CD34-36, i had cramping, but nothing happened. It is now three weeks later, and still nothing! I've had on and off cramping, especially on the right side where that pain was last cycle. I had a visit with my dr. last week, and he seemed quite concerned. I had blood work done, checking to make sure my thyroid level is fine, all is okay. I have an U/S scheduled for January 18, but that's a month away still! I feel like my right side is twinging more and more.

I'm worried that the cyst that burst caused more damage than they thought, and that they just couldn't see it last time. Or that it wasn't a benign cyst. Either way, no matter what it is, i'm on CD56, and getting pretty annoyed! And honestly, quite concerned. There is no apparent reason why we shouldn't be able to conceive.

Anyways, that's my story! So excited to have some ladies to get to know on a real level, to receive and lend support when needed!

-Courtney

Hi to the new member of our group!!!

Melanie,

I got my new book and it is already packed away in a box. Sigh. I felt the pressure creeping up immediately. AAAAHHHHH! I said and put it away. Filling my head with more information as this point is counterproductive to the "staying positive" campaign. Staying positive does not mean feeling confused and overwhelmed Wink

Hey Courtney,

I just read your post. So sorry to hear about your pain. I have no experience with ovarian cysts but there might be some helpful threads on here about that.

You are young and healthy and I'm sure it's frustrating not knowing why you aren't pregnant yet. That being said, give yourself more time than you think it should take. Melanie and I are keeping each other positive and will be more than happy to help you stay optimistic about conceiving too. It sounds like some off timing that you had this pain and possible ovarian cyst rupture around the same time you guys want to get pregnant. BUT, there's always a lot to learn from these kinds of journeys even though they are really frustrating and trying. It will happen for you Smile

Hi Courtney,

Welcome, I know how you feel about it taking longer then you thought. And being overwhelmed by the timing of it all. I wouldnt get too worked up until you get the tests results because you could be stressing yourself out more. I know the feeling of not knowing is killing you. It would for me too, I was 4 days late this last cycle and waiting was killing me. I cant begin to imagine being as late as you are. We are here for you to talk to.

Courtney,

I also n ow how it feels regarding trying to get pregnant and then getting a health issue. Thats pretty much what happened to me, it was so upsetting. I cried for weeks, my DH felt so bad about how sick I was and having to hold off on trying. He spoiled me and took me to Hawaii for a late bday present. It was what I needed because it got me out of my funk.

Holley,

Dont do it, dont look at the book. I made the mistake of searching things online today. Big mistake, I stressed myself out and confused myself beyond belief. I got fustrated shut off the computer and went for a walk with my little furry baby. My little Yorkie Tinkerbell. I cant walk both dogs together cause my other dog Tombik, is a sheltie hes old and really moody. He doesnt listen much anymore. So I have to take on seperate walks or both when my husband comes along.

So me and Tinker went for a walk and I got back felt better. So dont do it, its so overwhelming.

YES! I am learning Wink NEVER look up stuff on-line unless you want to feel more confused and anxious. The book is gone to the land of the BBT charts!

I have two dogs that I have to walk separately and need to do that soon. One is a Doberman pup and he is just too strong and requires full attention and the other is a mini Schnauzer who I can walk and think with because she's 9 and we've had tons of walking experience. Walking is awesome and gives you natural endorphins.

We win today! Obsession- 0 , Melanie and Holley- 2

Big smile I agree we win today. I decided that I am going to try to walk several times a day. I work from home and it is so easy to get lost on the sites, and confuse myself. It gets me away from my computer for a little bit.
