Hey gals....I've obviously had lots of time to think about when it's the right time to try for #2, since I have all this time on my hands Smile
Is anyone else thinking about trying anytime soon? We were thinking about starting to try in the early spring. Mainly because I'll be 33 this month and I don't want to start trying too close to 35. I don't want to be considered 'high risk' incase I get GD with the next pregnancy....there were just TOO many dr appts for my liking with the GD alone.

So......what are your thoughts?

Try whenever you feel ready! Our thoughts initially were to go back to back so our babies would be close in age and we'd get the diapering stage over with nearly at the same time. And it will be nice to know that TTC and pregnancy is over and done with (unless you're planning on having more). I still like the idea in theory, but just can't wrap my brain around being pregnant again. If you feel you are up to it just go for it! I'm sure it'll be a little hard in a way having two infants, but a toddler and an infant presents it's own challenges I'm sure. It's not like the day you turn 35, everything goes down the tubes statistically, it's a gradual process. Just remember, the better you take care of yourself in the way of diet and exercise, etc will be more important than just the age itself.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

I am 26 so not in a huge rush for #2. I was in a rush to have #1 but as long as I have both my babies by 30 I will be happy. We are planning on trying around May/June 2012, just a couple months before Olivia's 2nd bday. They will still be a good amount of years apart, not too much and I just couldn't imagine doing the whole newborn stage again right away and I really wanna enjoy my time with Olivia for a couple years before pregnancy and a new baby happens again LOL. I do have to admit though that when I see my preggo friends I get the yearning for another pregnancy, not the baby part, but just the pregnancy. I do miss the anticipation and the u/s visits and all that fun stuff but i am content with my one baby for now. LOL.

I am thinking we might start TTC around Lillian's 1st birthday. We will see how I feel as the time gets closer but I sooooo miss being pregnant. For now just planning on having two kids but I don't know...they sure are a lot of fun. Smile

Well, I have been asked this question numerous times since LO has arrived. I've been so sleep deprived that I wouldn't even consider having another any time soon. I was thinking "one and done". DH has had other ideas. He's been quietly working on me for another one. Well, I can't believe I'm even saying this but we may start trying again in the fall of this year, after LO's 1st bday. I'm getting up there and if we're going to do this thing, I want to before I'm 40. This is a true testament to how irresistible my LO is. I can't believe I'm willing to try for another. We're not telling anyone about our decision. My friends and family are going to be so surprised.

as sad as it sounds, I need to be practical and build up some leave again. I've exhausted my leave with Benedict. It took me 3-4 years to built up the leave that I have. So I'm thinking 3-5 years.

*sad*

I know it has been awhile since any comments on this thread....

But, I am right there with you Molly. I used all my leave with Delaney and I want to give any baby the same as her and I stayed home for 13 wks. It will be at least another year until I have enough saved again.

*sad also*
