Hello Teriann and Kristina!
My name is Rachel, I'm 25 and I live in Illinois. I am married to an absolutely amazing and supportive man named Lewis (or Lew, he's 30) and we have a 4 year old son, Kaeden. He is from a previous relationship and Lew is his step-dad, but really he is OUR son. They have such a strong and unique bond that I will probably never understand completely Smile We just got married in December of 2009 and weren't exactly trying to get pregnant until april when AF was just a day or 2 late and I got a BFP. We weren't planning but we weren't taking any preventative measures either, if ya know what I mean. So I got the BFP on 4/18 (a monday) and by that friday I started bleeding. betas on 2 consectuive days the following week confirmed that it was a MC. After that, no BD for 4 weeks per Dr's orders then I was back to my regularly monthly cycle. I think I really started charting and keeping track about the time DH rubbed my tummy and said "I'm thinking baby thoughts" lol I thought to myself "well if that isn't a green light, I don't know what is" haha. So now I am on my 2nd official "TTC" cycle and am staying optomistic. I am looking forward to the HPT this saturday. I am: nervous, excited, anxious, worried, scared, thrilled, and pretty much every other adjective you can think of to describe that itchy, jumpy, crawl out of your skin and scream into a pillow feeling. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about! My day's are filled with a lot of deep breaths and a lot of waiting (As I'm sure you know as well)
I can't wait to hear your stories and start sharing milestones! I am so glad I found a place to talk to other women who know how this feels!

*hugs*

Hi ladies! I am so excited to have buddies! My DH and I have been married for a year & 3 months. I am 34 as of yesterday and he will be 33 July 22nd. I have never been pregnant and went off the pill in April. We would like to have 2 or 3 children, so we are ready to get started. (It feel like it's a late start.) Everyone in our families got pregnant at early ages (from 17 to 27 years old). And at 27 it took my sister over a year to get PG. I have suspicions that I may have ENDO. I am overweight & torn between trying to lose weight and not stressing out my body too much with exercising. As you can probably sense, I am a little nervous about things.

I know some of my friends are probably tired of hearing about TTC, my cycle, etc. It's SO nice to find others who are concerned about / obsessing over the same things I am.

We are scheduled to have an SA done today. Puzzled If things follow the same schedule as the last few months then I will probably O around July 9th. DH's b-day is July 22 and that will be about 13 DPO, so I am really hoping to get a BFP this month. Big smile FX!

RachelLouise- I am so thankfulful for my supportive & wonderful DH. I'm glad you have a wonderful & sweet man too! We are truly blessed!

Kristina

Good Morning Ladies Smile You can call me Teresa. I currently live in Virginia though I'm facing a transfer some time in the near future to Anchorage, AK since that is where my husband is currently stationed. My story is a lot like yours Rachel. My husband calls my son from a previous relationship our son, he's been such a blessing in our lives and makes a wonderful father figure for my son. We've been together for a while but just made it official 2 weeks ago. We're both Active Duty Military (him Army, myself Coast Guard) and when the Army sprung his orders to Anchorage on him we weren't quite ready to make that step. He's 38 and I will be 30 in December. He's pretty persistant that he doesn't want to have children after he's 40. I hope he will be a little flexible for the future though. I had a cesearian that didn't exactly go the way it was supposed to and I suspect it won't be as easy to conceive this time. He had to return to Alaska early last week and deploys from there to Japan soon until the end of September so I won't officially be in trying mode until this. I do however plan on starting to chart, temp take, etc until then so I can get a better grasp on the timing (first baby was a total accident...even if it was the best one I ever had).

I'm a little over weight as well Kristina, with a little added stress that I'm probably going to loose my job over it in the next month (sigh...military). Ben is so encouraging in that he wants me to finish the last semester of classes for my bachelors and go straight to my masters when I move to Alaska. The last year has been stressful (my mother had Kidney disease and past away Jan 1 of this year). I need to take time out to focus on my family and recenter myself and do what I want. It's just time to move on I think.

Kristina- what a wonderful birthday present that would be for the DH!! Smile "I know some of my friends are probably tired of hearing about TTC, my cycle, etc. It's SO nice to find others who are concerned about / obsessing over the same things I am."...DEFINATLY....I have a lot of friends that are in between stages. The girl I confide in once has two kids but she's divorced and reciently just broke up with her guy, I can tell she gets depressed if I talk about it.

Rachel- I'm due to test this weekend too...bought two different kinds just to make sure, though at this point I'm doubting our success. This was our only real try until he returns from Japan and we were stressed enough dealing with a wedding, much less counting days and taking temperatures. I went back and counted and we were right on with O this month...its just a waiting game now (one that is slowing driving me nuts!).

One more thing Smile Kristina...exercise is amazing for pregnancy. I say give it what you got but don't starve yourself or drop weight quickly. I've had success with WW points (they make you stop once you are pregnant but its worth trying...while you're trying Smile ). Have you ever tried Yoga? I joined a gym a few months ago to help with the weight loss and I usally take it twice a week, I LOVE IT. Its a very centering activity, I leave unstressed happy and focused and really look forward to the next time. I'm also and avid swimmer (I run funny, so i'm always in pain afterwards...so I kind of avoid it) its so easy on your joins and its super good for you even when you are pregnant or loosing weight. These are both very low stress things you could try while you are trying to get pregnant.

Wow, so our stories are similar in some ways! I must admit that I didn't know what endo was until I looked it up just now, I hope it doesn't cause you too much discomfort, and that there are treatments to help it make les of an impact on your ability to conceive.
I moved to Illinois from Oregon 3 months ago and I don't know ANYONE yet. I pretty much have DH and DS lol and I know they don't want to hear about this stuff. I mean, DH wants to know what's going on with it, but just the abridged version. He doesn't want to sit and talk about it. Sometimes (ok, a lot of the time) I just sit and think to myself "why can I not give this man a baby?!" I know it's only been 2 cycles but we were PG once. I have to tell you, nothing made me feel like a failure more than the MC. The look of disappointment on his face after I told him was enough to crush me into a million little pieces. It was almost as bad when AF came last month, I mentioned that I needed to buy tampons and he immediately said "so no baby?" ...no babe, no baby Sad I am to the point now where I cannot help but obcess over it. And I know that it's not helping at all to do so. I couldn't help but to do the HPT this morning and got a BFN... I don't know why I do that to myself. I already ordered another conception pack and fertalaid thinking that would help. It would be my luck that I go and spend $60 on all this stuff then I get my BFP the very same month.. like when you're waiting for an important phone call the best way to get it is to get in the shower LOL! I also printed out some charts to use to keep track of my BBT if AF does come this month. Really my strategy is to do as much as possible in hopes that fate, in his sick comedy (I say 'his' because I couldn't imagine a woman being so cruel) will render all my hard work as moot and give me my BFP this month!

ok ok, I know I'm being irrational, that's why I'm here, I need support.... badly Smile

Rachel, I read in the 2WW page that you got a BFP (or at least a faint one)!!! Did you test this a.m.? Regardless, + is +!!! So excited for you! Big smile

Teresa- Thanks for the support. I have been successful with WW in the past too so maybe I'll try that again or at least try to follow it without the meetings. I used to take yoga & loved it too, but my current gym (DH's gym) doesn't have classes. So maybe I will get a yoga DVD, I think I even saw one for fertility somewhere. It might not be as good as doing it somewhere else because of all the distractions at home (dogs, phone, DH), but it's better than nothing. Thank you for motivating me to get proactive again! Smile FX for you!

-Kristina
