My temps are generally low...just curious if there is anyone else out there like this and what you did or are doing to help it. I am 8DPO right now and am only at 97.4 (coverline is 97.1 for the month). My acupuncturist thinks I have low hormones because my temps don't spike after ovulation. I took B6 in Sept and am going to start it again, and just picked up some progesterone cream, although I'm slightly leery of using it.
I thought this month looked hopeful because I had 97.8 on Saturday and then it fell to 97.2 Sunday (implantation?!) but the last 2 days it's only up to 97.4. I'm lucky to ever break 98.0. Is this a problem? I compared my chart to others on Fertility Friend and it does look like there are other women out there like me, but only 22% of the charts like mine resulted in pregnancy... any thoughts?

I would probably wait on the progesterone cream, but that's just my opinion. Start with the b6 but are you also using OPK's to see if you're ovulating?
if your temp fell to 97.2 on sunday and only came back up .2 degrees and didn't go back up to the .8, I would doubt that was an implantation dip.
Are you taking it at the same time every day and are you a good sleeper? And are you only taking it once every morning?

Hi Lisa, thanks for your thoughts and comments!! Why would you wait on the cream?
Yes I am OPKing (have been for 1.5 years, I know I ovulate and always have a 13/14 day LP)... I do temp at 6am every morning give or take a few mins (this morning was at 5:30 because I happened to wake up before the alarm...I temped again just for the heck of it and it was 97.5 but I typically don't do it 2x/day, only when I first wake up). I'm not a great sleeper, no. I rarely get the 3 hours of solid sleep before the alarm goes off (I wake up most days about 3:30 am then fall back asleep until 6). I had a chemical pregnancy in August (and may have had one in 9/2009 but wasn't confirmed), so I know I can get pg, but still unexplained infertility.

Oh I didn't know that you were ttc for so long. Then I wouldn't wait on the cream! Try it out and see what happens.
Have you had your partner's sperm count tested? Also, I can send you my charts if you would like to see them. I wouldn't mind having a look at yours too if you're willing. If you want, you can send them to Lmeg77@yahoo.com.
I was a strict BBT'er and I plan on doing it again when it's time to try for #2. I felt like it helped me so much.
The things I did to try to increase my fertility is that I took my prenatals, I switched from 1% milk to Vitamin D, I had my husband take a multi-vitamin plus an extra 500mg of Vitamin C (I read that it makes the semen better quality and less coagulated) and of course, charted my BBT.
What's your average coverline and post O temps?

hi Lisa, no worries. Yes, DH has had 2 SAs...first one was low motility, but 2nd one he passed with flying colors...
Coverline is around 97.0. This month my temps have averaged 97.4 post-O. small spikes. I usually have a temp spike 4 days before I start AF, and then three days of declining temps, then AF shows up. But this month I should start AF on Tuesday but temps are still at 97.9 for 2 mornings in a row (of course, I've been traveling, sleeping in a really hot room so I'm not placing too much weight on that...plus I've tested BFN again). Anyway, I'm putting the thermometer aside for December. I've looked at enough charts to realize that anything could or could not result in pregnancy...so I need a break. This will be month 26, I'm just so fed up. Thanks for your thoughts. I will check out your chart and would love you to look at mine! I'm out of town for the next couple days but will check in later. hope you had a nice thanksgiving.

Glad to help anytime, email me at Lmeg77@yahoo.com when you want to swap charts. And hang in there, it's a tough process and sometimes taking a break REALLY helps. When I gave up, I got a bfp Wink

I ditched my thermometer this month, too. It was stressing me out too much to obsess over every little change (or lack thereof). Good luck!
