Amber it's good to see you on here!!!! You won't feel till you are having the transfer.!!!! I am kinda happy in one way that I don't need general anesthetic now as it takes a few days to come round after that!!!! No matter how it's done it is all for the same outcome so worth what ever it takes!!!

Just some great IVF news. My friend, who has pcos, fear of cancelling her ivf cycle a few weeks ago and problems with DH sperm, after try number 3 is pregnant. I am soooooooo super excited for her. I know 3 times is crap to have to go through but she is the most positive person I know and always had the attitude"it is worth trying and trying, it will happen" and now it has. She said today it's worth all the tears, fears and waiting. The joy of seeing that second line!!!! I am so full of hope now and even if round one fails ladies we will all get there!!!! (Of course it will happen first time but...) I know it will.

Molls _ I agree, I would much rather not be under general anesthesia, I know you will have a quicker recovery, I got really sick after being put under the last (and only) time I needed to be.
That is REALLY exciting news about your friend with pcos, I kow 3 times is a lot to go through but I'm sure it's all worth it now, how wonderful!

AFM - Having spotting and cramps today, on day 13 of my cycle, totally unusual for me even if I wasn't on the pill. Either way it's not a good sign, they may need to up my pill strength, it could mean a postpone but I'm getting ahead of myself, still waiting on a reply from the IVF nurse.

Hi Ladies, hope you are all well.

Amber that spotting must be a bit confusing.. I guess its because of the pill and the change in hormones and things. I really do worry toooo much about way IVF is going to mess with my body. So glad you've come to join us. Keep us informed (you like our teacher our fearless leader)

Molls how are you feeling about IVF generally, November is not far away. I totally have cold feet and am thinking of postponing till Feb (EPU). I guess I'm just finding it hard to accept that I cant do this on my own, maybe I just havent tried hard enough. I stress perminantly about IVF in Nov or not and I think that I shouldn't go into the process with that much stress.. should be excitement right? (sure some nerves and worry but generally happy and contented that that is how you get pg?) DH is not much help for me, he basically says 'it depends on whether you have any faith in me'.. (the last few weeks he has been like 'I can do this')

Thanks Intrigue! You were right! The spotting stopped last night. I was a bit worried because I emailed my IVF nurse and she never emailed back. So I started reading online, bad idea I know, and everything was saying that it happens but most likely because you missed a pill (which I hadn't, and I never even took one even a bit late) or that the pill wasn't strong enough for you. Yesterday I brought out the huge stack of IVF papers and right there it said "spotting is common, don't be worried, it doesn't mean the pill isn't strong enough for you, only worry if it becomes full flow...." Guess I should have read that first eh Smile I don't feel like the IVF teacher, I feel like Diane is Smile since she has been through it. But soon I hope to be able to give more details about how things are going, right now just taking the pill.... waiting.

Amber no worries. Spotting is normal because the birth control is so light on hormones. When are you scheduled to start stimulating?
I am actually on birth control as well. I had some left over from the IVF cycle. I have make sure my period would start the day my DH arrived home. My husband will be home for two weeks. If hadn't I would have been on cycle day 15 and ovulated before he came home! And we would have no luck of even trying to concieve. I got the idea from my IVF cycle since they control your cycle until they are ready to start you. Oh the things we do for making babies.

Aboyle- How is your TTCing coming? Are you going to try IUI's?

Has anyone else tried IUI's or did you move straight to IVF?

Diane - I don't have too much to report regarding ttc right now. I'm on CD5 after taking provera, have my HSG and DH's SA on Sept 26th. We skipped those when first TTC b/c DS was less than a year old, so thought everything was "ok", guess it's not! Once we get the results, we'll decide what to do. We're definately thinking IUI if they think it's worth a try. We were going to start doing them with the clomid, then decided to do the tests just to make sure we're not wasting any time/money. Now I can't do clomid, so maybe it will be injectibles w/IUI? I should have some answers next week (they'll tell me a little during the procedure), but won't hear from my dr until the following week. Aug, ttc is such a waiting game!!

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

Hello Ladies,

Amber I hope that stopping has calmed and you are back on track. You must be due to start stimulating soon hey?

Diane it doesnt look like IUI is an option for us the FS thinks the quality of DH sperm is not high enough for an IUI to work nor standard IVF for that matter, he planning ICSI or PICSI. I would totally try it though if they though it might work. Much cheaper and less invasive than IVF.

Hello Aimie, one day closer to HSG!

Not much going on with me, still waiting for a lightning bolt to arrive to guide my direction. CD 7 (I had to count as I am not temping or charting at all).

Diane - Thanks! I am feeling better about the spotting now, you are right, the BC pills are super low dose, I was worried they were too low to work for me but so far I'm ok. That's great you can use the extra pills to help control your cycle for when DH is there! I'm glad I got my extra months, I almost threw them out! Of course I hope I won't need them.
They told me IUIs weren't an option for me, that my eggs most likely are reaching their destination so IVF is the only option.

Aboyle - I hope you get answers soon, it always such a waiting game.

Intrigue - I'm still spotting on and off but I'm not as worried about it now. I know it must feel weird for you not to be charting and temping etc. It was so strange to truly stop TTC this cycle for me, good and bad.

AFM - I'm scheduled to start stimulating the first week in October, I'm anxious & excited about it. For now I am still on the BC pills and just started to antibiotics today with DH. Hope it doesn't give me any sort of imbalance... I am not a fan of the yeast infections! Yuck!
