CC, don't feel bummed. She still has time to turn! When my cousin was 38 weeks preggo they said the baby was between 9-10 pounds, so they induced her at 39 weeks and the baby only weighed 7 pounds. Ultrasounds can definitely be off, so I'm hoping that is the case for you. I had to have c sections with both of mine, my son was emergency at 34 weeks and my daughter's was scheduled. I recovered so quickly and didn't experience any negative symptoms from it. You're so close!

Hey CC

try not to stress, my girl was 8 lbs 12oz and 2 weeks early, she was also breech and they recommended not try turning her cause there wasn't any room. so I just went with the flow, I never wanted a c section, but it all worked out! I never had a birth plan for that exact reason cause sometimes you just never know! Just try and stay calm she may turn on her own! but either way as long as baby is looking healthy!!! Smile :)

good luck with everything!

Thank you ladies!! I am indeed headed for a csection.... reading what you had to say makes me feel better about it.

New reports- hit over 36 weeks! YAY no preemie! My little girl is for sure a breech, SO that means I have no choice & I am having a csection at 39 weeks unless my water breaks prior (then I just get a csection right then). Also group b strep positive, not that it matters now since I am having a section... I will be discussing further with my midwife about this next week at my 37 week appt. SO we shall see..... Getting so close! Big smile

CC, sorry to hear that. I found that a support belt really helped me recover from my sections. I used the Abdomend one and it was a life saver, as you will be sore and tender right after, but I was back on my feet and moving around the day after and the belt helped so much!!! They are a little pricey, but totally worth it. Congrats on making it past 36 weeks. I had my son early, at 34 weeks, so I was nervous when I was pregnant with my daughter that I would have her early too, but we made it to 39 weeks!

You're so close. Enjoy your last few weeks of pregnancy.

Thanks estone!

WELL.... I am officially scheduled to meet my daughter in 15 days, since she won't turn. If she starts things on her own before that, they will do a quick u/ to confirm her position & move directly to the OR. sigh. OH well. I am just really hoping now that since she won't cooperate with the way I had hoped her birth would go that she at least stays right where she is until her scheduled birth day! Tongue

I am getting excited, nervous too, but excited!!! I can't wait to hold this baby girl. I am definitely feeling very pregnant.... I never felt this way with my son (maybe since he was born @36 weeks?)
I am marching along.... 37weeks & counting.... just 13 days until I meet this one! EEEEE!!
I will miss this last bit of pregnancy in a way, feeling her move, having people go out of their way to be nice... BUT I will not miss the horrendous heartburn, swollen lower legs & feet, the hurting tail bone, the stabbing pains that randomly occur in my lady bits, the swollen lady parts (but thankful for no varicose veins there! midwife checked to make sure that wasn't my case!)the pelvic bone pain, the breathlessness, the random bouts of anxiety etc........ I know I will miss the pregnancy once it's over though, knowing that it's likely never going to happen again........
Ooooo can't wait to see this baby!!!!

Oh exciting! I had two sections and my elective one was awesome! 2 things I wish I had known (can't remember if your first was a c-section or not?) it is normal to get a bit shaky in the operating theatre, it is just the drugs and the other is that when they pull the baby out it is kind of like midgets wrestling on your chest. No pain just really strange. When I knew to expect it the second time it didn't bother me at all but the first time I was like what the heck?!

Will be interesting to see how big she is in the end (bonus that she is coming out the sunroof so you don't have to worry about her not fitting etc!) I was told my little guy was measuring at least 9lbs about 3 or 4 weeks (actually might have been earlier than that now that I think about it) and when he was born at nearly 39 weeks he wasn't even 8lbs!

Good luck for the big day, I will remember to come and check in and see how you got on!
