Hello All!
My name is Nina, and I am very excited to have some people to talk to who are going through the same thing! I am 26 and I have been with my husband for 6 years (married for 1 1/2). We have been ttc for #1 for 4 months now, and every month something has gone wrong. I am getting very frustrated! Last month my AF was 2 weeks late, and I was certain that I was pregnant (even though the tests were negative)! The first month I just got itchy (I think from too much trying Smile ), the second month I realized i was allergic to lube, and the third month I got an infection. I am getting very annoyed with my health, and I am hopeful that I can stay healthy this month. I do not know when I ovulate, especially since I was so late last month, so I am using OPKs. I am currently on CD 16, but my cycles vary between 28-43 days. The results of the OPKs have been a little confusing. They have been very light, so I am guessing I have not ovulated yet.
I hope all of you will have a good end to the 2ww!
Nina

Hey Liz! I am Amy and I am 24 years old and TTC for #1 as well...and this will be our 5th month of trying. It does get frustrating and hard! Believe me I know, sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy trying to get that positive. I guess all of our lives we think it'll be so easy to get pregnant and we just have to wait until we're ready and then BAM...but nope, that hasn't been the case at all!

I have a question for you...you say you're one day post ovulation...what day do you count as being the first day? Because I am on CD30 and on CD26 I got a faint positive OPK and on CD27 a positive OPK and on CD28, it was practically gone..so is CD28 my first day post O or CD29? lol..I get confused with all this stuff sometimes so please excuse me! I've heard some good things about pre-seed and that it's the only "sperm friendly" lube out there...so I'm hoping that this time it'll be successful for you!

And Hey Liz! Sounds like we are all going through a very similar experience and hopefully we can help each other out and lend an "ear" on this site to help keep ourselves encouraged! I do not know when I ovulate either..so I'm actually excited that there's someone else on here that knows how frustrating that is! I went off the pill 6 months ago and haven't had a real period yet! I did have some very mild spotting about 30 days ago, which I just counted as my day 1 of a new cycle, and that's where I'm at now. I'm charting my BBT and using OPKs as well...I actually got the ones off this site, which ones are you using? Welcome to the site (I'm new too) and I really look forward to heading down this journey with some girls to talk to about it. My husband really doesn't like all the details, so I try to leave him out of it...he just wants to know when he needs to be at his best, LOL. Wink

Hi Amy,
I am using the OPKs from this site as well. I think the tests are positive 24-48 hours before you actually ovulate, so if you got a positive on CD 27, you might not have ovulated until CD 28 or 29? Maybe? I'm not sure. I feel like all I do is read information about these kinds of things, but everything seems different!
I stopped taking birth control in January, and I think my AF was so late last month because of stress, so hopefully it will be better this month!
I have a coworker who was TTC for awhile, but she didn't get her period for 2 months, and then got pregnant the third month, so hopefully the same will happen for you!
I am also very excited about this site. My husband is trying to be supportive, but he doesn't really understand. It's great to have someone else to talk to about it!

Hi ladies, thanks for letting me join your group. I just found this site today. I'm hoping it will help with the support I'm looking for since my husband (bless his heart) really doesn't understand why I feel the way I do. I'm 35 and my husband is 40. We've been married for 10 months. We've been really trying for 5 months. We just finished all the testing and met with the fertility specialist today. IVF is our only option. My husband's sperm don't move. Unfortunately we don't have the money and I'm having a hard time dealing with the fact that we have to move on with our lives and forget about the baby. I'm applying for a grant but it doesn't look promising.

Oh Zook, I'm sorry to hear that. Don't give up hope just yet..there's usually always a solution out there for everything, you just haven't found it yet. Myabe there's a health insurance plan that will help cover some of the costs of IVF, or a way to become on a payment plan to start. I don't really know what to say other than to let you know we're here for you to vent and lean on and it's hard because our husbands just don't understand, even though they really want to. Hang in there...it's not over yet!

Nina..I am right there with you! Stopped taking the pill in January...lol, that's cool. I was always very irregular before getting on the pill so I figured as soon as I stopped taking them, I would go all wacky again. But I am taking the FertilAid to help regulate some hormones and hopefully jump start my period. So we'll see. Well my DH and I had intercourse for 4 days in a row around ovulation time, so I'm guessing I'm not officially in my 2ww as well with what you said about being post ovulation. Didn't you say you were in your 2ww as well? Laughing out loud

I am not sure how to track when you ovulate. I am using OPKs and still waiting to get a positive result, so I can know I'm ovulating. I have been tracking my cycle on another site, but I don't know if I have actually ovulated when it says I did. I am hoping to get a positive result on the OPKs, so I can be in the 2ww Smile
