I just ran across this new resource for folks considering IVF. The site is www.formyodds.com. Once on the site, it has you complete a survey based on lifestyle and medical history and then submit your information. Those running the site then compare your info with thousands of other women’s cycles in their data base. From there, they are able to make an educated guess with 80 percent accuracy on whether or not you will become pregnant and have a baby and if you are likely to have one or multiple babies.
It also predicts whether or not it is best for you to try IVF immediately, in the following year or even 5 years out.
The site is the end result of a research study that looked, compared and compiled the data of over 170,000 IVF cycles. They not only looked at whether 1, 2 or 3 embryos were implanted, researchers studied 19 other related variables as well.
I took the survey, but stopped short of ordering the personalized report from the doctor. I will be interested to see of anyone tries this service and how they would rate their experience!
