I will probably text my younger sister, asap. She's been wanting a niece or nephew for awhile! Then, I'd tell my 2 work friends, who have been with me from day 1 - although, I got lost in the shuffle as my friend's due date approaches.

If I tell one adult family member, all the rest will know in a week, even if I try to keep it a secret...so I want to wait at least 2 months.

Friends can wait 3 months.

Work people can know when I get huge, and it's hard to hide! lol!

Good question! In theory, I'd like to wait until the end of the first trimester but in reality I don't know if I or my DH will be able to keep it a secret that long!

So, I guess the we will tell family and my best friend right away because if something terrible were to happen, we would need their support and love anyway. But everyone else we will do our best to keep our big mouths shut until we at least see a heartbeat!

GOOD QUESTION! After DH depending on timing I would tell this board haha!! But I would want to tell my older sister right away since she has been helping me with all my health issues and has been very anxious to become an aunt. Then my younger sister... both at the same time would be nice but I'll play the timing by ear. Then of course my mom and grandma. I am not good at keeping secrets so I would probably tell my best friends (the one I threw the baby shower for since she is the only friend who knows I am actively TTC) then my two other BFF's. As for other friends I would like to wait until my first dr appointment AND at least hear the heartbeat like lizardbits. I dont' think I could wait a whole trimester before I spill the beans. As far as work... hmm.. good question! Probably the same with my "other friends", although not as anxious to let them know.

I think after husband (DH? I gotta learn the lingo ) my mom deserves to know first. If I call home, I'll talk to everyone else who happens to be home too (dad, grandma, brother, sister), so my whole family will know. Other than that I think I'll tell everyone I know- first come first told . I'm horrible at keeping my mouth shut when something's on my mind- and this is sure to be on my mind, so I think we'll throw caution to the wind.

I have a dear online friend who I'll tell, and a few local friends. Then I'll tell my family, but depending on when I find out they may have to wait a little bit (if it's close to a birthday or Christmas, they'll find out then).

I will probably tell my mom first. She is in heaven but her ashes are in my bedroom (sorry if that's TMI or it grosses any one out) It saddens me so much that she won't be here to see me pregnant ( I know she "sees" but it's not the same. I would love to have her here to ask questions or hear stories. I am not that close to my MIL so I am going to miss that motherly stuff. I will tell my best friend and prob work ppl as I carry heavy things sometimes so that will have to stop! I think I will wait until my first US to tell my in-laws and our friends. The good thing is when you find out your PG you're almost one month down already. I never knew that they calculate your pregnancy from the first day of your last period. This means I would really have to wait two months to tell everyone else. That's not so bad I guess...I hope

So funny to re-read this now that it has happened! After DH I told my mom (in Heaven) one co-worker and all of you guys on here. I also told my fertility yoga teacher as she was most instrumental in helping me welcome my "spirit baby" before he/she was in my tummy. We haven't told ANYONE else yet. I cannot wait until the end of this month as my 1st trimester will be over on 10/30. We are going to let our doggie tell everyone. I bought a dog shirt that said..."Big Sister In Training" and it has a baby carriage and baby bottle picture on it. She will wear it at our in-laws, at my dad's house and at the dog park which will tell most of the people we need to. The rest of our friends will find out on Halloween when I will hopefully be wearing an oven costume with a "bun in the oven"...I know very corny but I think it will be a great way of letting people know. Now if I coulf only convince DH to wear the matching apron with the words "bun maker" on it So NOT gonna happen!!!

I am bursting and want to tell people every time I see them...due to my age though, we felt that it was best to wait. I am feeling better as each day goes by...I am happy that I've made it through the first 8 plus weeks. Can't wait for the next 2 1/2 week to go by

neutronnancy- I think your idea is sooooo cute!!! I always say that I will wait until my first trimester is over to tell people but i am not sure i will be able to hold the good news. Congratulations to you and God Bless you and your growing family
