If you are using OPK (ovulation predictor kits) to help track your cycle, what tips would you share with others on how to get the most accurate results?
1.  How often do you test?
2.  What time of day do you test?
3. What brand do you prefer?
4.  Once you get a surge line, what is your BD (baby dance) schedule or plan?

It is my second month using an OPK so I don't have a lot to go on but here it is:
1. I test every day starting on cycle day 10 (both times I got my smiley face on the seventh day)
2. I tested between 11:30 and 12:30 pm after not peeing for at least 4 hours
3. I have been using the clearblue digital smiley face test
4. The first month we BD the day that I got the positive test, this month we BD on the day of the positive and the day after as well as before of course

I'm in the 2ww so we'll see how this goes.

1. I also start testing everyday on cycle day 10. The test I used shows 2 lines when you get your LH surge (indicating you will ovulate in the next 24 hrs or so). The line has to be just as dark as the control line or darker to indicate a surge. My test indicated a surge on cycle day 18,19 and 20 (then it got a lot lighter after that).
2. I always tested right when I got home from work, around 5:00-5:30 in the evening and I tested this same time everyday. I drink water all day long while I am working so I would try and stop around 3:00 and then not go to the restroom till I got home at 5:00.
3.I used the First Response Ovulation Predictor Kit this month and I did not have any problems with it. If I do not get a BFP this month I will probably stick with that brand next month.
4.My DH has a hard time BDing everyday. I used the online ovulation calculator also. We BD on Friday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (got my surge Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). So we started BDing based on the estimated fertile window that I got from the calculator and BD every other day. Luckily I got my surge the same time the calculator predicted it (this month).
***I am currently in the 2WW and will test at 12DPO...just a few days away. We will see if it worked.***

I started off using the digital opt by clearblue easy for 2 months, which is as easy as the name suggests, just much more expensive than the other options out there.

The next month I tried the non-digital version, but was questioning the line with DH.. 'is it as dark? there is a little part that could be lighter than the test line....'

So this month, I have one digital left, I am going to use the opt from this site and if I question a result test the same batch with the digital.

I have always tested first thing in the morn, because that's what the instructions said. The ones from this site say afternoon is better. I'm not sure why they would say differently??

I start using the opks from this site today. Has anyone had any problems with them?

2WW right around the corner (hopefully)! Good luck to all!

1. I start testing on cd 11. At first I was ovulating around day 18, so I figured it would be safe to start then. Now my cycles seem to be normalizing. I would test once a day.

2. I test after work, around 4pm. The test instructions said that the LH made later in the day, so I go by what they say.

3. I've been using the early-pregnancy-test.com strips. I like how there is no waste. I'm not a poas person...I've got to use a cup. So, they're no frills, and I've had no problems with them. The 1st 2 times I used Answer brand. No difference in quality. The 1st 3x I used opks (2x Answer, 1x online strips) I O'd day 18...next 2 times were 16. I don't have any problem seeing a darker line. I thought it would be hard, but it's pretty easy for me. The line is kinda weird, because the line will be kinda streaky, with a definite extra dark line down the middle. I think that counts.

4. I notice when the lines starts to get darker, so that's when we start BDing. The next day I get the definite surge. We'd BD the day before the surge, the day of, and the day after. This time we threw in an extra time after that. I use the ovulation calculator to find my fertile window, and we BD a few times early on, for good measure. We'll see if it works, this time! Smile

This was my first cycle using them. And pretty much this is my second cycle TTC.
I used the tests strips from early-pregnancy-tests.com

1. How often do you test? EVERYDAY

2. What time of day do you test? 2ND MORNING URINE
(If first morning urine is used with the test, the first day of the LH surge may not be detected. The best time to collect the urine is between 10:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M.. Always try to collect it at about the same time each day.)

3. What brand do you prefer? NOT SURE YET

4. Once you get a surge line, what is your BD (baby dance) schedule or plan? NEVER GOT BD AROUND O Sad

STARTING TESTING CD10
FAINT LINES UP UNTIL CD13.
CD13,14 DARK LINE -TESTED 2X EA. DAY
CD15 FAINT LINE
