For me...
~Getting them in - Took two tries to know what it feels like wrong and right. Third time was a charm and it stayed in, didn't feel it at all! I did walk like Frankenstein for a little while though it might come out if I walked like a human....but it was fine.
~Taking them out - Fine as well, I advise doing it over the toilet since I spilled mine on the way out.
~Any pain? Bleeding? - During the first time trying to insert and remove them, I was sore afterwards and I did have a small drop of blood that was mixed with some clear fluid. Nothing to be alarmed at by any means, but I just did it wrong, which resulted in those two things.
~Anything unusual? - Nope. Just hoping and praying they help us this month!
I tried one last night. Really not as difficult as I thought it was going to be. DH looked at it like seriously you are going to stick that thing in you?? I was a little leary as well because the pastic ring seems so tough, but slid in there easily and I could hardly feel it. How long are you guys leaving them in? Since this was just practice I didn't leave it in long (1 hour), but for the real thing, I will leave it in as long as I need to. Is overnight too long?
Hey Tonya!
I had the same feeling, I was wondering 'how am I NOT going to feel this??' but its fine.
At first I left mine in for an hour when I practiced, but now that we're trying with them, we BD before going to sleep, and I sleep with it in. The next morning I take it out.
12 hours is the max. The only thing, and this may seem weird, but two times that I slept with it in, the next morning when I went to the bathroom, the positioning of it really REALLY slowed down my urine flow. I 'beared down' a little bit which moved the cup and the urine flow went back to normal. Quite odd.
We are using some PreSeed in the cup as well to help the swimmers along. In the morning, mostly everything is gone, which is promising. Good luck!
Good luck and baby dust to you guys this month. I have to live vicariously through you guys because the hubby is out of town and I only got to try the soft cups out 1 day this cycle and we had to try on CD 5 and I usually ovulate on CD 12. I know its a long shot but I had to try it in the off chance I OV'd early and so I could practice for next months baby dancing. We do plan to BD when he gets back into town but it will still be another long shot because he comes back on CD15. He is really frustrating me with these business trips at crucial moments in my cycle and he seemed sad that we would miss out on this month. I wore the sofcup for 10 hrs and it was comfortable. But I am fully stocked and ready to go next month unless I get my miracle. LOL!
BabiesRUS, is it possible for you to travel to where he is maybe one time this or next month? Maybe that will help? I'm not sure how far away he is or anything, but you've got a great recipe there for success, just need to be in the right place around the right time
I've been using softcups quite a few times now, and never had any trouble with them. I'd definitely suggest a practice run with one, just to get the idea of how it goes in and out. I think the first time I didn't put it in quite far enough and it wasn't comfortable, but it didn't take long to figure it out.
~ Getting them in? I put mine in directly after BD and while I'm still lying down. I found it incredibly easy to slip it in, though you might want to try sitting up for a minute afterwards to push out any air bubbles. lol I discovered after the first time I put it in lying down that apparently air can get trapped in there and it makes for some interesting sounds when you try to take it out in the morning. I leave them in all night (or if we BD in the morning, all day), but you have to take them out after 12 hours.
~ Taking them out? I find it best to slip a finger over the top of the cup and pull directly down first, to release some suction. Then you just hook your finger over the rim and pull it straight out.
~ Any pain? Bleeding? A little uncomfortable when I put it in wrong the first time, but other than that, absolutely nothing.
~ Anything unusual? Just the air bubbles..lol

OMG Rabid...that is so funny you say that about the suction and air bubbles. I experienced the same thing. Except with the airbubble came some fluid so I was running to the bathroom. And the suction thing, that was something that happened after leaving it in overnight. I was thinking "Is there a vaccuum in there too??". How funny!

I'm trying the soft cups this month. I'm REALLY hoping it works!!!
I haven't had any problems with them, but I was familiar with them before because I used them with AF once and a while.
I put them in right away after BDing while laying down and there isn't a problem putting them in. I do put a little PreSeed on the cup.
Good luck everyone!

I have noticed if you are having a hard time getting them. Just put on a little Preseed to aroung the ring to help the cup slide on in.
