According to a new study conducted by the Medical Centre in Haifa, Israel, there may eventually be a new treatment option for men who suffer from erectile dysfunction.
Using shock therapy that is traditionally used for eliminating kidney stones, doctors have found that the same therapy has a positive effect on blood vessels as well. In fact, in this recent study, 15 out of 20 men who had been previously experiencing issues with impotence, were able to perform naturally without medication after receiving the shock therapy. All 20 of the men were in their 50's and had been struggling with erectile dysfunction for at least three years.
The treatment took place over three weeks and the men were given low intensity shock regiments that focused on five specific areas in the genital area.
Doctors say that these findings are interesting and should be tested further!
