Importance of Protein

If you are hoping to become pregnant, then it is important to include protein in your diet. However, not all protein is created equal in the world of fertility! :)

First off, you will want to include vegetable protein instead of meat protein whenever possible. A Harvard Nurses Health report supports this dietary recommendation with a study that found that including a daily serving of vegetarian protein helped protect women against infertility. This could be as easy as adding a serving of beans, peas or nuts to one of your daily meals.

On the flip side, this same study found that when women added a serving of animal protein such as meat or poultry, they were at a higher risk for fertility problems.

Just another easy way to increase your chances for a healthy pregnancy!
