How About Hydrotherapy?

hydrotherapy for fertility

There is nothing more relaxing to me than being able to slide into a hot bath with my book in one hand and iced tea in the other.  So when I came across an article mentioning the positive benefits of hydrotherapy on reproductive health, it immediately caught my attention! :)

Hydrotherapy uses the pressure of either hot or cold water to first stimulate the nerves and second to strengthen and awaken the immune system. When this happens, the stress hormones are stopped dead in their tracks and the body is able to be calm and relaxed. And because of the emotional toll TTC (trying-to-conceive) takes on a couple’s spirit, most doctors now believe that there is indeed a link between TTC, depression and infertility.  So it is really important to take care of yourself and to find a stress reducing outlet…..whether it be yoga, massage, acupuncture or hydrotherapy!

Another benefit of hydrotherapy is that it increases blood circulation which has also been shown to improve overall reproductive health.

An easy way to find a hydrotherapy treatment that best meets your needs is to check with your local spa or wellness center. They will most likely have a variety of options to consider.

Or as a bare minimum, you can pick up some fertility bath salts and indulge in a relaxing bath!!!

Happy soaking!
