Have you noticed that the pitch of your voice is higher these days? If you have, you are probably about to ovulate! That is what scientists from the University of California found in their recently published study.
First, the researchers recorded the voices of 69 women at two different times during their cycle. One was when their fertility levels were low, and the other was when they were about to ovulate. What they found was that their voices began to rise in pitch as they were getting ready to ovulate. The rise in pitch was most apparent when women they were engaged in short conversational dialogue
Researchers believe that this occurs because the body naturally gives off cues when fertility is at its peak. They also have found that higher voices give the impression of femininity and attractiveness, and in turn help to alert men to the optimal baby making timing!
