Seems that the miracle of laughter has a place in the fertility world as well!

In a study done by the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, researchers found a link between laughter and pregnancy.

More specifically………..the study looked at women who were at the embryo transfer part of their IVF procedure. As they were recovering and resting after the treatment, half of the women were visited and entertained by clowns. The other group rested quietly on their own. What they found was that 30 percent of the group that had a clown show became pregnant, whereas only 5 percent of the non-entertained group resulted in a pregnancy.

Why? The researchers believe that the clown show allowed for the women to laugh and relax. And it is believed that if you are more relaxed that the embryos have a better chance of successfully attaching to the womb.

So……. giggle giggle giggle…………….pregnancy!
