You girls rock!!! I love you girls already!! I guess I'm alittle shy with expressing how I truely feel sometimes. Butterfly, you're like me LOL Nod and smile. Faithful, I'm so glad you're okay. Welcome back!!!! And Fairhful, I'm the same as you also. All my girlfriends are married with children. I was the last to get married and as I'm going last to have a baby. My point is.. I undestand where youre comming from. When I hang out with just the girls. All they talk about is their children. Which is fine. I don't mind talking about their kids. But when it's non stop. It drives me crazy. I can't relate to them. Just as they can't relate to us. It's sad to say, I don't really hang with the girls much anymore. Their lives are so consumed with their family, they can't really do anything. Uugh. Anyway, I'm glad I have you girls. It means so much. One question for you girls. I was thinking about taking fertilaid. Do you know if you can take that with your normal everyday vitamins? And do you know of any side effects from it? I've tried reading but, I haven't really heard any side effects. I'm just curious if it will upset my stomach. I get nausious from meds alot when I have to take them. Have a good day!!! Smile

Smile Hey girlsss Smile

Lisa K , Let me tell you from experience that am taking fertilaid it has NO side effects which is Amazing because i really don't like taking meds what so ever , the fertilaid already have all the vitamins in it so you don't have to take more vitamin pills . I really recommend to take the fertilaid with the fertilitytea it has a minty flavor but it makes you feel so relax and it will give you lots and lots of energy , and also it will Boost up your sex drive Big smile hahaha so its very good ! i honestly like it makes me feel much better , it won't upset your stomach just make sure you eat breakfast you don't have to have a big breakfast ! you take it 3 times a day and if you are thinking of getting the tea also you take the tea with the fertilaid its recommended . I had irregular periods and now my periods seems to be so much regular and i really don't get any cramps any more . it takes 3 months for the body to adjust to the pills . Do you have irregular periods ? or Pcos ?

Butterfly yes that's exactly what i would do smile and nod Smile i need to move on with my life and life is not all about kids! even if am going crazy for one but what am trying to say is that there are more things in life that can makes us very happy ! do you guys know any quotes that i can read when ever i feel down ? any positive quotes one of you guys favorite quotes . I would love to read them Thanks so Much and God Bless! i love reading everyone's story's i will probably won't be responding everyday but i will say updating you girls with my life and everything ! Muawsz Hugsss

Hi Friends!
Faithful, I'll try to think of some quotes for you (besides my favorite Bible verse which is Phil 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me)... but one of my favorite acronyms is I tell people I'm FINE F.I.N.E= Fucked up insecure neurotic and emotional!! Smile giggle.
smile and nod...smile and nod. Smile But I will come up with some good ones for you... actually, that would make a great new topic on this forum! Smile Would you want to start a new thread?

Lisa, yes it can drive you crazy to have their families be the constant center of focus in your conversations ALL THE FRIGGING TIME...like really, there has to be other topics! I find that when I'm in a group of women, I automatically cling to the other non-parents if there are any in the group! I will talk casually for a bit with the moms, and then just back away, just back away... run for the hills! j/k...but it's hard to not be able to relate to your friends...actually, I don't want to be that parent either... I want to incorporate a kid into my life, not have my life revolve around the kid... I never want to look at my husband or friends in 20 years and think - who are you- all we ever did was talk about the kids... but that is a tangent for another day...
my very best friend, who is 1 year younger than I, now has 3 kids the oldest is 8 or 9...holy crap did he just turn nine?!!... We still find ways to connect outside family stuff, which is nice, but it did/does take time and commitment. Hopefully you'll get there with some of your friends, and if not, maybe it's time to find some new ones. lol. j/k...sorta... Smile

Ok, I'm making myself log off here for the evening and go watch some hockey. Have a wonderful night!!

Hi Buddies!

Ha ha!!! I love the F.I.N.E.!!!!

I feel like I'm in the same boat too; All my girlfriends have children already, and they never had problems getting pregnant. We try to relate to each other but it is difficult at times since I do not have any children, and they've never encountered difficulty in trying to conceive. We try to be sympathic to each other, but also try to focus on enjoying time outside of those subjects. The constant questions "are you guys going to have kids or what?" do drive me crazy too. People just don't realize that it doesn't happen for everyone right away. But it sounds like we all are taking it in stride and using various 'strategies' to cope with those pesty questions! It's great that we can share our experiences, 'strategies', and lend support here!

About the acupuncture, I've been going weekly, for about 2 months now. My practitioner Anna said things are improving (my qi, liver, reprod organs, blood flow) along with the help of the herbs I've been taking. She did tell me that it takes one month for the treatment to take effect in order to reset your body and ready it for conception. But I already noticed a shorter cycle and earlier ovulation since being treated during the first month. The DH and I are also going to begin consultation with the fertility specialist next month. I'm a little nervous with all of the testing and prodding, but I think it will help us understand what may be going on.

I hope everyone is doing well today. Glad to be a part of 'the Sisterhood' and hope to talk with you ladies soon!

Sending out a lot of positive vibes and California sunshine!

Faithful-
clomid is a prescription drug...you can't get it over the counter/online.

Here's a little bit about it from another website:
Clomid is one of the least expensive and most effective of the medications that are used for fertility problems today. Also known as Clomiphene Citrate, Clomid is a hormone used to induce ovulation, to correct irregular ovulation, to increase egg production and to correct a condition known as luteal phase deficiency. Clomid is typically taken in doses from 59 mg to 200 mg, and taken for 5-9 days. It is easily taken (orally rather than by injection) and it is the first line drug used for ovulation induction in patients with PCOS and other ovulatory disorders. It has been used for patients with luteal phase defect. It can also be used to assess ovarian reserve (the likelihood that a woman’s ovaries can still produce viable eggs).

Clomid might be helpful for you since you did/do have irregular periods, but before going down that road, I think it would be a good step for you, now that your periods are a little more regular, to try tracking your ovulation. You can do this while you are taking fertilaid, until August to try and gather some information about your cycles. You can order these strips off this website, and begin using them every single day until you detect your LH surge. This will help you determine if you do ovulate, and when the surge is detected, you time your intercourse accordingly. If you're not ovulating, then your doctor might want to try clomid, but there are other tests and stuff they can do first to determine if there are other problems. If you try tracking your ovulation, and appear to be ovulating properly, then in August you will just want to talk to your doctor about other things to try (he/she may recommend a sperm analysis for DH, a HSG for you, blood work, hormone testing...all sorts of things!)... but it is important to talk to your doctor (or like I said, go get the book Taking Charge of your Fertility) so you feel a little guidance/direction.

I hope that helps!! Smile
