Hi there !

Awesome getting to know the Buddies!

Shannon - We're using the Pre since I have the same issue; very low CM. This is our first month using it, and we both seem to like it. Maybe the PreSeed would be better; I'll have to try that one too. I did try the FertilAid for women, but since I'm fairly regular, it did a number on my cycle, pretty much made my ovulation prediction undetectable for whatever reason. I tried to keep using it hoping it would eventually regulate itself in my body, but I was 'off' cycle for 3 months while using it, so I decided to stop taking it. Many women swear by it, esp. those who have very irregular cycles. But it just didn't work for me...Those are the only 2 products we've tried so far.

Hi Butterfly99! Thanks for sharing your journey. I can totally understand the emotional rollercoaster and how some days are 'downer' days......I hear ya loud and clear on that one, esp. when its so frustrating not knowing why its just not happening. It's great that you and the DH are very proactive in checking all the essentials. I agree that trying to keep it light-hearted along with open communication is key. Although sometimes my DH doesn't always get it, or just can't hear about it anymore! LOL! Laughing out loud That's why these forums are so great!

I've also been going to the acupuncturist; once a week for about 1.5mo now. I love it! Love Although I can't tell if it's the sessions or if it's the herbs she gave me, but it really helps me relax. Plus my O day has also been shifted sooner within my cycle so that my little eggs wouldn't be cookin' in there too long. She just started me on the 'Swedish Protocol' in acupuncture....guess we'll see if it does its magic this cycle.
Yep, I'm 6DPO so I have at least another week before testing....ho hum........trying to stay sane IS hard during the 2ww! But I've been trying to read some of the forums so its been very informative and has been keeping me company during my wait.
Just trying to be patient and positive Smile

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Sandy

HI,
Maybe i should wait to take the fertile aid. if i get a normal cycle after coming off the pill this month i dont want to mess that up. if it becomes irregular i may try it then. Thanks!
On another note, i did acupunture to loose weight last year, they put staples in my ears (small like an earring) it goes inside the ear. It really worked! i was able to loose the 15 pounds i just could not get rid of. Unfortunately this winter came and i put 7 back on! But it did work. I have been looking in to the acupunture though just for the entire relaxation part I may go back to the same one i saw before.

thanks

have any of you used softcups? I am having issues/paranoia with them and posted my question in another thread but haven't received any answers yet...

Sorry, I haven't used them yet. I admit, I'm a bit hesitant since some users said it was hard to place them at first (plus I have a tilted cervix), or that they were difficult 'to retrieve' after use. But one user stated they should not be uncomfortable; if so, then the cup placement needs to be adjusted.

I know, they sound a bit daunting; but some TTCers have had great success with them. I haven't rustled up enough courage to try them yet.................

GL with the cups. I've only really been reading about them on the '2ww' forum...I started from the beginning of the thread and am only up to Jan2010 comments, but there had been a lot of talk regarding them (I think Lishwa, and Santinosmom).

I hope they answer your post; would love to hear the Q&A!

LOL... I'm so impressed that you're reading that thread through the beginning! I read some of them from start, but that one is HUGE! I am too impatient when I have questions I just pop right in and start asking, or post my own. My first time on here, I was a wreck... I was really on an emotional cliff, and wanted to jump off it and joining this forum was a huge blessing, it saved me. Since then I pretty much follow the 2ww one and a few others, but don't follow them all b/c I could spend all day on here! hehe. anyway...
There's a couple whole threads on the soft cups too... I used the soft cup again this morning but not last night. they definitely don't hurt once they're in properly, but yes, the first time I tried to get it out I couldn't get a finger on it and started to panic... if you bear down they come out a little easier. When I ordered them I was ready to try anything...although sometimes I do have to laugh at myself because really I'm to a point where I believe what's the point? But yet I still obsess and continue trying all these things...
A friend of mine told me that once the semen is inside you for a while, it goes from cloudy to clear, so clear discharge is ok, which is what I had... I'm hoping something worked, but God is in control of that!
I have a tilted uterus too... do you lie down face up or face down after BD?

Ha ha! Yes, I'm in between clients right now so am enjoying the 'down time' right now...gives me lots of time to read the forums! Although the '2ww' forum has been taking me 5 days now and I'm only half way done!
But wonderful answers to a lot of questions and worries that I myself had been feeling. Aren't these forums a life-saver!!? The support is simply amazing.........No doubt about wanting to throw in the towel; end of last year I threw all my OPKs, HPTs, charts, FertilAid, everything in a box under the sink! Would have thrown the DH in there too (JK!) since he doesn't fret about any of this. But then I hear of some product or another, and I admit, I jump on the bandwagon and give it a shot just to see. I do need to order some items and will most likely order some cups this week!

Regarding your question about position after BD, I find lying on my back seems to be the best for me. The little soldiers tend to stay put better. I find lying on my stomach is the worst. But lots of ladies have been talking about the 'butt in the air' position but I don't think I want to have to do that for 20-30 min! Plus, DH would be LOL at me!!!

Amen Sister! I agree everything works on His time. I just wish He would give us a little hint once in a while Stare But everything always seems to work out for the best. It's a good thing He's not the type to say, "I told you so!!"

Best of luck for this cycle, keeping my fingers crossed for ya!
And for the rest of the ladies!! Smile

Welcome Lisa!! Where are you in your TTC journey?

It's so wonderful being on this site and meeting so many women in the same boat... what a great network and support system.

Sandy, I am going to throw all the "stuff" under the sink in the next couple months too (lol, on DH!)...but yes, when you've been trying for a while, it's like WHATEVER WORKS PLEASE GIVE IT TO ME!! haha... I'll try it!
my challenge in the next couple months is to NOT obsess so much... not think about it, not check every website for ovulation days, and not worry so dang much. I really don't know how to let it go...
in the last couple days I've laid on my back but pushed my legs over my head to fold myself in half with pelvis up, stood on my head, done downward dog in bed, and did the BITA trick... DH chuckles but then asks me "what is the preferred position on that website" so I think he's getting used to my neurotic self! haha.

there are a few women on this site who have gotten their BFPs this month, and I'm totally happy for them, but also just don't understand why it's not happening for us. I just wish I would know! This being in limbo thing really sucks...
