Diet and Fertility

The results of a study done by Harvard University gives hope to women who are struggling to become pregnant. Researchers selected 18,000 women and looked at their diet and fertility. When comparing the diets of women who struggled to conceive with those who became pregnant easily, this is what they found….

1. Women who ate fast carbohydrates (white bread, white rice, potatoes, white
pasta) were at a 92% greater risk for having ovulatory infertility issues,
when compared to women who ate whole wheat and grains on a regular basis.

2. Women who ate 4 grams or more of trans-fat increased their chances of
infertility by 30%.

3. Women who ate animal proteins (beef and chicken) had a 41 % increased risk
of suffering from ovulatory infertility when compared to women who ate vegetable proteins (beans, tofu, nuts).

4. Women who ate whole fat dairy products increased their chances of conception
as opposed to women who ate a low fat dairy diet.

If you are someone who eats fast carbohydrates, animal proteins, transfats and low fat dairy, you can increase your chances of becoming pregnant by 30% just by changing your diet.

Definitely wonderful news!
