Hello! ok so im not quite sure how this works but i love the idea of talking to someone about rather personal things if i were to talk to anyone around me i about u kno ovulation or the nerves that follow when u dont get a BFP right away. Its hard here, i get one or two new emails a day asking if i will volunteer to make meals for other soldiers wives who have had their baby. usually it wouldnt be a big deal but it bothers me more and more now that we keep getting neg results. their unit got back from deploying earlier in the year so naturally lots and lots of them ended up preg Wink . all do around this time through the beginning of dec....i know it all kinda sounds wierd but i get stressed when i think of how much of a time crunch were in. my husband is home nov and dec, in jan on our ovulation days hes in training along with feb and march. hes back april may and june and maybe july. we've heard deployment dates anywhere from june through july and wont know till were closer. but he will leave and be gone for a year!!! Sad

Amanda, I'm not your TTC buddy, but I thought I'd "butt in" and offer you some advice. (UGH! I know...unsolicited advice from a total stranger! LOL!) Since you're on a "limited-time-only" basis for TTC, I would recommend that you do everything you can to pinpoint your "most fertile times" before those key days arrive. It sounds like you're already pretty sure of your Ov day, but it can't hurt to be sure, right? Especially when you'll only have a few opportunities between now and DH's deployment. What do you do now, if anything, to keep track of your fertility? Do you chart BBTs, use an OPK, etc, etc? If you don't already do those things, I would highly recommend at least starting there. With just the two things I mentioned, you can pinpoint with absolute certainty when you Ov, and even get a "head-start" on BDing so that DH's swimmers can be there waiting for the egg. After a few months of charting, you'll probably even be able to predict your Ov with a fairly decent amount of certainty.

So anyway, sorry to butt in (I guess I'm not really all THAT sorry, or I wouldn't have done it) Wink , but I hope whatever knowledge you gain from this site will help you get that BFP really soon!

o i definitely love all the advice i didnt even realize how charting your temp could be so important but i've been for a couple months on my own and im fairly pos of my fertile times. we got preg with our son right away i mean he was unexpected and due nine months to the day of our wedding date lol so we never really had to try and now that we are its proving to be more difficult. in any case i will def look into trying everything we can. THANKS!

Hi ArmyWife...I'm your TTC buddy, Cara.
I guess we just shoot each other messages on this thread back and forth. I am 41 and TTC and very clueless. But this website has been so informative. I just got off the pill and think my hormones may be not working right. So far I have learned about charting your BBT and doing the ovulation prediction test. And I have been doing some research on different herbs that will get my hormones going again. I am also going to try accupuncture and am meeting with a Chinese accupuncturist on Friday. It should be interesting. My own doctor is telling me its no big deal, just have sex every other day. But my clock is ticking and I can't just poke and hope!

Did you see all the fertility supplements they have?? or the softcup? i guess its up to you to decide if your doing all means possible right away or going ease into it slowly. my dh and i had a pregnancy scare about 3-4 months ago the way are life is makes having kids and him being present almost impossible but then the more we talked about it the more we hoped obviously when i took the HPT it was neg. and we decided from then on out we would try iv never been on bc it makes me feel sick so we pretty much kept track of my ovulation days and wore condoms but its a wonder how iv only had one scare. anyways we have an 18 month old lil boy who def keeps me going but we really have our hearts on another little miracle. so im guessing your done all the ovulation predictors? where are you at in your cycle if you dont mind me asking?? i couldnt help with the charting stuff i dont do it what we do is just BD more around and on my ovulation days and then i put a couple pillow under my hips and lay there for a good 20 mins so i dont "leak" i know sounds gross lol but from what iv learned that can help the swimmers swim . and iv this month we dont get a BFP then im going to order the ovulation test strips. Accupunture?? im to chicken to try it lol but i was going to ask you is how long you were on BC

Yeah I am still looking into the supplements. I already am taking Vitex. I was on the pill for 20 years and am married 13 yrs. We just never felt ready until now. I stopped the pill in Sept and had my period in Oct. Now I am on day 41. What is weird is that for some reason when I ovulate on the left I think I can feel it. And I felt something last week, so on Saturaday I did an OP test and it came back positive so I figured I might be ovulating. I read so many things online that I just don't know. But since I just started my BBT testing I have no reference yet and so far don't see an increase in temp. So who knows. I called my doctor and the nurse said she would talk to him tomorrow and he could give me something to start my perioed. I don't know if I want to do that. I just need reassurance that this is normal. And it seems that it is. So I am bumed that this is such a project now.
I hope things work out for you before your hubby has to go!

Thanks!!! as for feeling your ovulation i do every time its not like a shooting pain but i dont get pms cramps of cramps during my period so i def know is my ovulation time and i know this is gonna sound gross but your CM changes theres either more or its just dif. not as drastic as you read about but its def. different. the other thing i would tell you is follow your gut instinct lol no science about it if you feel the changes then chances are you are right and your ovulateing. also just starting simple prenatal vitamins can help. and from what iv read and heard about bbt charting is thats its very difficult you know taking your temp befor you get out of bed and befor you eat or drink. i am one to forget so thats why it wouldnt work for me but for some women it works great! i know that the temp dif isnt very much so until your familiar with it, it might be difficult. this site has helped me soooo much i didnt know a whole lot my first was a pleasent surprise lol so until we decided to try i didnt really know much about everything. good luck with the doctor!!

I am currently at Ft. Detrick, MD. I've been to Fort Campbell, KY and Camp Roberts, CA. What does your hubby do in the Army. I am pretty much a worker in the IT dept. I help fix email, internet, computer issues. It feels sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good to be getting out!!! I just got my separation orders today! So good to hold a piece of paper that says "You are released from active duty..."
